Well it's been while since I posted here and mostly that's due to the fact that I've been walking the walk so to speak, check out the fantastic Guardian Film Weekly podcast to hear what I'm saying!
I'm aware that all the stuff I wrote here regarding mini-disc recorders is to be blunt defunct! Oh yes technology moves apace. Presently I use a combination of a top end and medium grade hard disc recorders. The medium range is the Roland made hard disc portable recorder the Edirol series, you can check them out on Amazon.
You still need a good quality external mic but these recorders are light, easy to use and high quality recorders and make mini-disc recorders obsolete.
I'm also aware that I've not really been testing out the podcast hosting sites of late so I'll make it my business to do that pronto pronto!
